I've attached a log zip if that's of any help. Is there something like this that could be added to NextPVR? Or, am I missing something that functions similarly that's already there? Any help/suggestions are appreciated.

It appears that in Media Portal 2 there is a setting (Plugins/XmlTv) "Apply time compensation when loading tvguide.xml" to account for this. I can manually find/replace the -0700 entry in the xml file and then of course, everything lines up. The XML file EPG Buddy generates adds a local GMT offset (presently -7hrs) to every data entry, so when it gets imported into the NextPVR TV Guide everything is (predictably) off by 7 hours. My use case is very simple, just one tuner and 8 OTA channels. Historically, I've only used the ATSC source for the guide data but with the upgrade I thought it was time to revisit the xml route via EPG Buddy (using data). tools that you can use to download your EPG data and import it into MediaPortal 2 XMLTV is. The Freesat EPG combined with the Freeview EPG has given me data or all the channels I want or a week which is ok.I've just switched from v4 to v5 and everything is running great except for one small issue. XMLTV is an XML based file format for describing TV listings. (That said if you have xmlTV working then no point changing). If this did not work for you the TSWriter.log or EPG.log files are suprisingly helpful. To get this done I left the config app on the manual control screen and ticked the refresh DVB EPG and left it for a little while. Select XmlTv > General Select the ' Import new tvguide.xml ' check box Select Delete old programs before import check box, Clear the other check boxes Press Import It will take some time for xmltv to import all of the TV Guide information and the import status report will update when xmltv is done. Once I realised that the reason it was not working was because I had re-installed the TVServer but not replaced the TSWriter files I now have a just about fully populated EPG Off to look at it againįor anyone searching with the same problem thought I would just write down how I got the EPG working.įigured out that the timeout in MP EPG grabbing is actually to do with picking up an EPG signal not how long it takes to go through the data. Click to expand.I used 4TR a while ago and whilst I loved the search and the scheduling there was a big reason why I went back to the standard MP scheduler (no idea why now.).
